Sintered Stones

Sintered stone is a type of engineered surface material that is created through a process called sintering. Sintering involves compacting and heating a powdered mixture of minerals, such as natural quartz, silica, and other raw materials, to create a solid mass. This process results in a dense and durable material that exhibits properties desirable for various applications.

Key characteristics and benefits of sintered stone include:

  • Durability: Sintered stone is known for its high resistance to scratches, stains, and impacts, making it a durable option for countertops, flooring, and other surfaces.
  • Resistance to Heat and Cold: It can withstand high temperatures without warping or discoloration, making it suitable for kitchen countertops and other areas exposed to heat.
  • Water Resistance: Sintered stone is non-porous, which means it is resistant to water absorption. This property makes it suitable for use in bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor applications.
  • Design Versatility: Sintered stone is available in a variety of colors and patterns, often mimicking the appearance of natural stones like marble or granite. This allows for versatile design options in both residential and commercial settings.
  • Uniform Composition: Unlike natural stones, sintered stone has a consistent composition throughout its structure, providing a uniform appearance and performance.
  • Thin and Lightweight Options: Some sintered stone products come in thin and lightweight panels, offering flexibility in design and installation.

Engineered Quartz

Quartz is a man-made product that is created using natural materials. It is composed of 90% ground quartz and 10% resins and pigments. When combined, they form a hard and durable surface. This hardness, among other properties, is what makes quartz unique among other countertop materials.

Benefits of Quartz:

  • Durability. Quartz is known as one of the hardest countertop materials. Engineered quartz is long-lasting and does not need to be replaced as frequently as other countertop options.
  • Crack-resistant. Engineered quartz has resins that prevent the surface to deform when subjected to minimal loads and forces.
  • Non-porous. Engineered quartz is a resilient material that prevents bacteria build-up and doesn’t pose health risks like porous surfaces.
  • Stain Resistant. Quartz is a man-made material that has been designed to have stain resistant qualities. Because it is non-porous, liquids and spills will not leave a stain. This makes quartz perfect for use in kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Very easy to maintain. Engineered quartz is one of the easiest materials to clean you can find on the market. Cleaning is handled with just soap, water and a soft cloth. Additionally, it does not need a sealant, unlike many other materials.

Lightweight Natural Stone Panels / Thin Panels (Ideal for Interior Applications)

Inspired by Nature, Improved by Technology

The lightweight natural stone panels consist of a thin layer of natural stone reinforced by ultra-light composite materials, such as plastic honeycomb, aluminum composite plastic, and 3D fiberglass panels. This design significantly reduces the weight of dimensional stone by more than 80%, making it an ideal solution for various applications.

Wood Plastic Composite

Wood Plastic Composite is a hybrid material which combines the qualities of wood and the ease of workability of plastic. It is a composite material which has replaced natural wood and is sustainable as it is made of waste wood and recycled plastic. It is widely used in outdoor decking floors, railings, fences, cladding, outdoor landscape, cornices, door and window frames, indoor furniture, outdoor furniture etc.

The main advantages of using Wood Plastic Composite are:

  • The material is very easy to maintain and clean.
  • The material is resistant to ultra violet light and its colour does not fade easily.
  • WPC Board is highly durable and is not affected by rain, snow or peak summer conditions.
  • The material is slip resistant hence is a very good material when used as deck flooring especially near swimming pools.
  • It is a very good cladding material and is highly weather resistant. It is available in many colours and textures which add to the beauty of the building.
  • It is a costly material but is effective in the long run.
